Supporting Children with Type 1 Diabetes: Free Insulin Bank Initiative

Uthishta is pleased to announce the launch of a dedicated Free Insulin Bank for children with Type 1 Diabetes, implemented with the support of Ametek as part of their CSR initiative.

Through this program, 75 children will receive free insulin, testing strips, needles, and diabetes care kits for an entire year. These life-saving essentials significantly reduce the financial burden on families, as managing Type 1 Diabetes otherwise costs ₹4,000–₹6,000 per month per child.

The Free Insulin Bank ensures uninterrupted access to insulin and essential supplies, offering stability, dignity, and peace of mind to children and their families. The program is implemented at the Karnataka Institute of Endocrinology and Research, where beneficiaries receive regular treatment and expert medical supervision.

This initiative reflects the shared commitment of Uthishta and Ametek to strengthening child healthcare and ensuring that no child is denied treatment due to financial constraints.
